Align the dovetails on the bottom of the clamp with the dovetails on the platform.
Slide into position and lock in place with the allen screw on the right side.
The Futura Auto clamps the track key on the neck of the blade
Track keys are gauged either on the shoulder or on the tip.
A majority of track keys are gauged on the tip.
Insert the key into the opening
All of the cut edges need to be loaded into the clamp
Make sure the tip of the key has not gone past the backside of the clamp
Hold the key flat and tighten into place
Automatic tip detection is used so you don’t need to use a tip stop.
When gauging a key from the shoulder you will use the shoulder stop gauge.
Insert the gauge into the grooves on the clamp
Slide the key all the way through the gauge until the shoulder butts up against the shoulder stop
Hold the key flat in the jaw and tighten into place
Remove the shoulder stop
Some two track keys, like the HU 66, due to the cut in the profile on the side of the blade requires the A45 adapter so that the key is held straight in the jaw.
To install the A45 adapter onto the Futura Auto
Align the pin on the bottom of the adapter with the grove on the front right side of the jaw.
