I was nervous about this purchase because nobody could guarantee success when I called for shops to program it. It ranges from Acura dealer who just want to scare me into buying their “authentic” fob, to lock smith who had no idea but was confident that a used fob for push button system cannot be reprogrammed. In the end, I gave it a try, and a Honda dealer did it for me in less than an hour. With the good price I paid here and about $60 the Honda dealer charged me, it was like having my key back for $120. My Acura dealer was quoting me almost $400 (I would have paid if they had been more reasonable, like $250). So when I’m done, I felt like saving $280 instead of losing $400, even though I did lose the key. So if anything, thank you for making me feel this way. And the fob, although it’s preowned like advertised, it was indistinguishable from the one preowned by me. I appreciate it so much that I had to write this review.
